One stop shop for your next building project. You come to a place where they find you the land, design you the building, build it, completely furnish it and take care of it after it has been built. Yet you still own it.
A website based around the future design of our city. An interactive map showing what our city could look like in the year 2050. It would be based around design projects, big and small. Could be opened up for forms about what else Wichita could do to be more attractive. A way to connect and inspire our community.
How do you sell good design? How do you encourage people think outside the box to see things differently then they have always done them? How can you show them how a different approach could be better? Will people in Wichita pay more for good design?
Wichita has always been known for their leadership in creating new ideas. They area is home to many great companies founded here: Pizza Hut, Mentholatum, Garmin, Rent-A-Center, Vornado. Not to even mention all the great aerospace ties to our community. Where has that spirit gone and how can we get it back?

How do we find the right people and companies to connect to in Wichita to help grow my startup? How can I make the connection and partnership without coming off as a sales pitch, and instead find a way to make it mutually beneficial for both parties.
I think we need a serious discussion on if an idea is worth attempting to create a business out of. Are you passionate about it? Are you willing to spend years of your life pursuing it? Will it solve problems or bring others happiness? Will it sell? Is there a market? Has it already been done? These are all very important evaluations that need to be done before making the decision to take the leap.
When should I hire? When should I contract? What do I need to do to make those decisions? I'd like to see a discussion of experienced based opinion on both situations.
How do we grow talent in Wichita AND keep it local? Talk about getting college students into jobs to keep them here and grow economy. What is the role of the Center of Entrepreneurship at WSU and how do we work with them as a startup/entrepreneur community?
As entrepreneurs, we all know the feeling. Those moments when we don't think we're good enough, that we are over our heads with the project we have started. Or, that we have bitten off more than we can chew. This session will be enlightening and encouraging to all those who attend.
